Capri - 1912
















All the greats learn their techniques by copying the masters.
This is a favorite of mine by J.S. Sargent. I hope I did it justice.

  1. Lovely. My grand-niece's name is Capriana, after the Isle of Capri. I'd give you the full story, but it would take too long and I'd be weepy.

    But your painting is just lovely. (Adjectives have been overused, so that "lovely" doesn't mean what it used to. Which is "meant to be loved". And this is.
